Hi, I am Nergis. I am a global citizen, a qualified chef and a nutritionist with a Master's degree.

I was born in Germany, grew up in Turkey, and found my true self in Australia. I am dedicated, process-oriented, and punctual—my German side. I like to get things done practically and efficiently and love fresh, colourful ingredients.

My love for bringing people around big tables and making them smile through food surely comes from my Turkish side, especially from my mum. I was only 9 when I led my first nutrition health program with neighbourhood children when my summer vacation plans got cancelled. I remember knocking on neighbours’ doors to ensure their children had breakfast following a group morning exercise :) I still have the same passion for the well-being of children and their families.

I moved to the most beautiful part of the world, “down under”, in 2011 and easily connected to the Australian culture; we Aussies have a genuine interest and authenticity in other people and believe in the power of communication, connection and collaboration. I worked as a qualified Chef in Australia for many years in Early Childhood Education and Care centres. I reconnected with my childhood passion and worked closely with children’s families and educators as a Nutrition Advisor. I planned healthy, tasty meals approved by the NSW government and cooked nutritionally balanced menus for children with severe allergies, special needs and selective eating habits from different backgrounds.

I designed and implemented Veggie Heroes and Healthy Lunch Box Week initiatives with the support of the wonderful communities I was part of. Nutrition education is vital in children's learning process as they also learn to eat, like they learn to talk, walk, and read.

In 2023, I completed my master's in Human Nutrition at Deakin University, Australia. During my studies, I gained a science-based attitude, crucial for sharing the most objective and credible approach in nutrition consultation. I provide my clients with nutrition advice that is not opinion-based and is evidence-based during our consultations.
